The Altru-V is designed for the control of microbiological allergens and pathogens that may be found in HVAC applications. It can be installed quickly and is an economical way to provide highly effective germicidal 254 nanometer* wavelength energy on internal surface areas of the HVAC system where mold, mildew, fungus or potentially harmful micro-organisms may live and breed.
The Model-36 uses proven technology. The benefits of 254 nanometer technology have been shown to substantially reduce HVAC energy costs (often paying for itself in less than one year). In addition, significant reductions of system mold, mildew, fungus and other potentially harmful organisms have been also been recognized. The Altru-V is virtually maintenance free** and uses less energy than a standard 40 watt light bulb. The heart of the system consists of a special environmentally friendly 254 nanometer wavelength lamp which is designed to operate 24 hours a day.
Model-36 can be installed easily onto most all manufacturer’s coil boxes or ductwork in either vertical, horizontal or counter-flow applications, and is installed from outside so there is no need to open or compromise the equipment. The installation consists of making one hole for the lamp, screwing the mounting bracket onto the plenum or duct wall, inserting the lamp and just plug it in! The lamp can be safely replaced in minutes using the exclusive quarter-turn lock-in knob.
Independent Testing: The Model-36 system has been independently tested to verify conformance to UL/C-UL per Category Code ABQK (Accessories, Air Duct Mounted) and UL Standards: 153, 1598 & 1995 respectively.
